Breckenridge Backstage Theatre is the resident theatre company of the beautiful Breckenridge Theater, a newly renovated 137-seat theater located in the heart of historic downtown Breckenridge.

Our mission is to enrich, educate and entertain Summit County residents, their children and visitors through opportunities to participate in and experience the joy of live theatre. Our passion is building community through the performing arts.

Founded in 1974, Breckenridge Backstage Theatre is the oldest year-round theatre company on Colorado’s Western Slope and the longest serving non-profit organization in Summit County.
